Where I've Been...

Sorry I have been MIA. I have been spring cleaning and re-organizing our home, which involved a lot of rooms-especially my craft room. I always do a big cleaning twice a year. Unfortunately, the home that we live in on post is showing its age and constantly needs to be cleaned. You dust and vacuum and after 5 minutes you have to start all over again. LOL I really enjoy cleaning, doing laundry and cooking. Before, I met E I always focused on my career and I never thought that I would enjoy being a housewife. I love being a Household 6 and I so treasure being home for our fur babies. E told me he sees such a difference in Holly since he "retired" me. He says she seems happier and he loves seeing my little shadow follow me around the house even when he is home.

Another reason I have been so busy with the cleaning and re-organizing is that I will be working this Summer as a part-time teacher's aide/assistant for my sewing instructor Sue. She approached me and asked if I would be interested in helping her out. This program/camp for children is called Activ8 and they have all different types of classes that children can take. I am excited to learn from Sue how to teach sewing to others. I will be able to utilize this experience when we retire (down the road) up in the Adirondacks and there I will be able to teach sewing to Military Spouses, children, etc.

I will be blogging about my experience and will be able to accomplish a lot of other projects I would like to tackle this summer. Also, I will be starting to plan out what I will be making for the holidays this year (ie. gifts, home decor, etc.).

Have a wonderful evening!!
